Borgosatollo Cemetery

Ten rooms and an impluvio
The project resolves itself  in a court closed on all  sides and mended by the elements thanks to a coverage with independent structure in iron, wood and plate, that  leaves in the center a space planted with trees to open sky. The platform, lifted and tilted in comparison to the building,  allows the natural ventilation of the court that, especially in summer,  makes the visit to the dead persons most comfortable. At the shade of the birch tree they find place  the tumults like column containing cells for  cinerarie urns. From this space it is entered, through ample portals, to the illuminated rooms and  naturally aired by the great door, by the window above the lintel and by  the openings in the ceilings that favor upward the descent of a zenith, but attenuate light and the circulation of inside air, allowing the continuous exchange of it. One or more session elements, niches dressed of compensated wood, make the rooms more houseservants.
