This cemetery, when is a work of Public Art, truly completes and enriches the space defined by the architectural project. It has been chosen to create an incomparable prelude of forms and figures. The symbolic value of these works of art and the tall shapes of the ‘guardians’ can be seen to exude a strong sacredness. The most famous synonym of the word “cemetery”, the so called “Campo Santo” (sacred ground) in this case is like a church courtyard where the memory of each individual will be preserved with dignity and respect.

Claudio Aldegheri – Architect

Born in Sanguinetto, Verona, on 2 October, 1955, he graduated in architecture in Venice in 1980.

He has cooperated with the IUAV in Venice for university research. Since 1980 he has been a freelance professional. Since 1998 he has been a counsellor for the Venice Order of Architects. He joined XQuadra in 2001.

Franco Biscossa – Architect

Born in Voghera, Pavia, on 26 April, 1952, he graduated in architecture in Venice in 1977. From 1977 to 1989 he worked as a university researcher at IUAV. Since 1981 he has been a freelance professional. From 1993 to 2000 he was member of the Studio Associato Maso Biscossa. Since 2001 he has been part of XQuadra.

Aristide Giorgio Maso – Engineer

Born in Piove di Sacco, Padua on the 24 April 1950, he graduated in civil engineering in Padua in 1978. Since 1978 he has worked freelance. From1984 to 1990 he belonged to the Studio Area a professional engineering association. From 1993 to 2000 he was part of the Studio Associato Maso Biscossa. In 2001 he joined XQuadra.
