Visitors will get an insight into the story of the immeasurable boldness of patriots and warriors of the Great War. Belgrade is among just a few world's non-French cities that are collectively decorated with the National Order of the Legion of Honor for magnificent resistance, fearlessness and casualties suffered in the Great War. The New Cemetery in Belgrade, pays special respect for heritage that keeps memory to the heroic accomplishments and unusual life stories of those famous but also of all forgotten heroes who resolutely faced the greatest temptation the 20th century mankind encountered.
Blending history and art, this well balanced, insightful and informative tour will reveal many aspects of the war: locations, strategies, battles, and events, but also all those intimate stories of hopes, fears, anger, pain, suffering, patriotism and love.
