Recordings at Westerveld for new police series

At the end of June, recordings were made at Westerveld in The Netherlands for the new Dutch police series Noord/Zuid.
Westerveld was chosen as a location for filming due to its unique and monumental character and hilly landscape. The Dudokzaal auditorium, built in 1936 by architect Dudok, was the backdrop for a number of scenes. Recordings were also made at other locations in the rustic memorial park.

Noord/Zuid is about Amsterdam detective Dana who uses her training as a psychologist to solve crimes. After her divorce, she tries to get her private life back on track together with her daughter. Dana is the leader of a team of detectives and works on various cases.

The cast includes Ariane Schluter, Katja Schuurman and Gijs Scholten van Aschat. The first episode of the Noord/Zuid series is expected to be broadcast in January 2015 on the KRO channel.
