Terrassa Cemetery in the documentary "The children of the flood"

The Terrassa Cemetery was one of the shooting locations for a documentary about Spain's worst flash flood that occurred in 1962.

Terrassa Cemetery has been one of the sets of the shooting of the 2022 documentary film "Els nens de la riuada" (The Children of the Flood) that was broadcasted in the TV show "Sense ficció" (No Fiction).

The devastating flood took place on September 25, 1962. Hundreds of people died because of it, and it’s considered to be the worst flash flood that has occurred in Spain. The documentary follows the research of the researcher Esther Lázaro about the open questions following the floods, the missing children and the anguish of the families who are still looking for them.

The production company in charge of the project has also recorded in other locations in Terrassa, such as the rivers of Arenes and Palau, the National Museum of Science and Technology of Catalonia (MNACTEC), the Historical Archive of Terrassa, Sant Roc Street or Vallparadís. Park. 

Celebrating the Golden Ring

English Cemetery
On Monday, 4 April 2022, the English Cemetery and the House of Guidi will celebrate the Golden Ring that Elizabeth Barrett Browning's poetry created between Italy and England with a special event.

Event Program

  1. The English Cemetery (located at the Piazzale Donatello) will be open in the morning from 9:00 to 12:00. 
  2. The House of Guidi (located at Piazza San Felice, 8) will be open in the afternoon from 15:00 to 18:00.
  3. In the evening at 20:00, at the English Cemetery, the film "A Tea with Mussolini" by Franco Zeffirelli will be screened (in case of rain the evening event will not take place).

Recordings at Westerveld for new police series

At the end of June, recordings were made at Westerveld in The Netherlands for the new Dutch police series Noord/Zuid.
